Topic: A Day in the Life of a Divorce and Family Law Attorney
I have to be the most blessed attorney in the world. I have paralegals in The Family Law Firm who are extraordinary. They are talented, respectful, and moreover, they are very good honest people. I have the privilege of working closely with one of the paralegals, whose name is Barbara Bond. Her dad used to be an attorney and she has the heart and the soul of an attorney, so as a parelegal she is outstanding. Today, I had an opposing counsel who was verbally insulting and assaulting me during a break from our hearing, and Barbara witnessed him physically blocking me into a corner. I, of course, told him I was going to call security, and he started back tracking and claiming that he wasn't "doing anything". Ha! Anyway, the bailiff saw it all and thank goodness for that because this opposing attorney has obvious problems with women.
Barbara was so supportive and smart throughout the preparation of our hearing and throughout our hearing. She prepares so thoroughly that I am allowed to do just the legal work and that means less charges for our clients! If you ever work with me, you will also be working with Barbara Bond. You are going to love her just as much as all of our other clients do who are fortunate enough to work with her.
It was an exciting and fun day as a NM Divorce and Custody lawyer today. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow. Good night. Felissa
