Working From Home Today

Topic: A Day in the Life of a Divorce and Family Law Attorney
I suppose this isn't a typical day of a New Mexico Divorce and Family Law attorney since I'm working from home today, but maybe for other lawyers they do the same thing I'm doing! I got to bring home an entire client file and just have to go through every single paper and detail in his file. He allowed me to write about his case on the blog because his ex is crazy. I read a recent deposition of her and I don't think I've ever read a deposition as bad as that one. The worst part of it is that her own attorney let her get away with not answering questions and avoiding the questions. He actually said that it was ok for her not to answer the questions fully. I was quite shocked. Then in reviewing the rest of the file, I found that the ex-wife sent an "anonymous" letter to his place of employment going into detail about all their whole private life and trying to get him fired! She says in the letter she's writing "anonymously" but it's so painfully and plainly obvious that she wrote it. Oh my goodness. Come on now.
I like working from home sometimes because I can get a lot more done here than at the office. When I am there, there are constant interruptions, which is o.k. but it makes getting my own work done very difficult. I also like to have the television on even though I'm not watching it. I think "Keeping up with the Kardashians" is on right now. It is such a stupid show, omg. But I'm glad it's ridiculous because then I don't pay attention to it and it makes it just right for me to concentrate on my work. I did pay attention to one part where Kim Kardashian was with her boyfriend, NFL star Reggie Bush after he made the winning touchdown at an NFL game. That was kind of cool, but besides that it's all yuck.
I'm trying to get this work done because tonight I think the Los Angeles Lakers are playing against the Denver Nuggets. It sure has been an exciting series. I was really upset, though last night, when the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Orlando Magic. That was awful. I really want to see my honey LeBron James win a championship but who knows if he'll be able to do that with the Cavaliers. He may have to go to another team in order to be able to win an NBA Championship. I would love to see him win one. Or two or more!
Well, I took a break to write and so it's back to this crazy ex-wife case that I need to prepare. We have an arbitration in this case coming up in mid-June so I'm starting to get ready for it now. When I go into Trial or Arbitration or Settlement Facilitation or Mediation in all my New Mexico Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Alimony, Paternity and all my other NM Family Law cases, I like to be the most prepared possible so I start preparing weeks in advance. I am blessed that I have the support staff and other attorneys in our Firm that allows me the luxury of preparing for weeks before I go into a trial or arbitration, etc. I hope you have a great day!
