New Mexico Divorce and Family Law Real Life Cases and Judges
Many times, Judges' decisions and behaviors are often misunderstood.?? When you appear before the Court, especially in a Family Law case, you are very emotionally involved in your case and it is difficult for you to see past the emotion.?? The Judges, on the other hand, hear people's problems all day, every day.?? They have learned, hopefully, to see beyond the emotion and to apply the law in a fair manner.?? When I appear in Court as an attorney representing my Family Law clients, I don't ask for any advantages from any Judge.?? What I do ask for, however, is fairness and respect.?? For the most part, fairness is what my clients get.?? There is, however, the occasional Judge or Hearing Officer, that is operating with an agenda that results in unfair??and biased decisions.?? In that case, everybody gets hurt and it is because of those unfair Judges??and Hearing Officers that the system gets overloaded with appeals and requests for review from a higher authority.
I want to??encourage you to talk to other people just like yourself through this blog, who have had both good, and bad, experiences with Judges and Hearing Officers or in your Family Law or Divorce and Child Custody case.?? This way we encourage the good??Judges??to keep up the great work, and we let the bad ones know that their actions are indeed being noticed and that they need to be changed.?? It will also provide you with a forum to share.?? I'll talk more tomorrow and let you know if anything interesting happened on the "legal" front.?? Good night for now.
