Oh, boy. Here we go with the holidays and the candy and sweets that come with the holidays. So I have been on a really great eating plan (we won't call it a diet) that includes all natural and wholesome foods without sugars and the regular carbs and fat that cause fatness in people, well, in me. Of course we went out and bought bags of Halloween candy to give to all the Second Judicial District Court Judges and Hearing Officers because our offices "live" in this district. But we do appreciate all of the Judges and Hearing Officers in all the other districts as well! So back to my story about the candy. We also got candy to give out to Trick or Treaters at our house. We have several bags of the really good chocolate like Reese's peanut butter cups, Almond Joys, and Kit Kats. I already know that if I ate even one piece last night, I would have more than just the one piece of chocolate. And that's precisely what happened. Fortunately I was able to not eat too much candy but I still felt like it was the Attack of the Halloween Candy against me! I say that as if I had no control whatsoever..........
Now I'm back in the office today for work and I feel like my body is in sugar shock! I won't ever eat candy like I did last night. If we have left over candy, it's coming straight to the office to give out in one of our guest dishes or something, anything but keeping it at home!!
Can you believe it's already October 28, 2010?? Where has this year gone? I wonder if it's the same for everyone that as you get older and older time passes faster and faster. Yes, I have come to the realization this year that I am getting to an age where I can no longer be considered a girl. It was really sad and hard to accept but it happened this year. Maybe that's another reason this year ws so hard during the first part of the year. What do they call it - a midlife crisis? That's it! Ouch.
Well, from here til Halloween, I hope you don't have a Halloween candy attack like me. Just be strong hee hee. Sure it's easier said than done. We'll just deal with the holidays as they arrive.
Have a great afternoon and I'll talk to you again soon!
