It was yet another awesome day. I woke up at 5 (I hope I can say that forever!) and meditated for an hour today. Then I went to the Academy track and ran 3 miles. Isn't that so cool? I think it is. You marathoners might think it's no big deal but for someone like me, sedentary, and, well I think chunky, it is incredible for me! I came home, we went to work and had a terrific day. I got to leave early and go get a video camera for the Firm because we are doing a video blog on You Tube starting next week. That means that you can meet our whole staff in person and see what we look like (ummmm) before you come and meet us in real life.
OK, so some of you are helping me get Oscar to run the half marathon with me and Jacob, but he's still stubborn. Today, Oscar Calvillo, yes, Oscar C-a-l-v-i-l-l-o, did a little jig behind his desk. He was remembering when he was drafting some documents that were going to be against someone he really didn't like and he got up and pretended like he was typing them standing up and he did a little spin. Jacob said it was the third funniest thing Oscar has ever done (next to his Rapunzel skit).
In my house, I have a sitting room where I write my blog. There is a huge picture window, almost the size of the whole wall, looking out toward the city and I get to see God's beautiful sunset every night, like right now. There's a big tree in front and a bird feeder. I love feeding the birds sunflower seeds and little black seeds (thistle). You should see the birds that come and eat at our bird feeders. All colors, sizes and shapes. Beautiful.
I am very grateful for all of the beautiful sights I get to see every day and for all of the good people that I get to meet and work with. Although I consider my legal work to be frustrating at times, I can't help but to be grateful for how wonderful my life is and how many blessings I have on a daily basis. I think we all have our problems and our own regrets, but when I put those aside and look at the good stuff, it is really good.
By the way, I cut my hair, but not too short. I need to get all the blonde color out of it so hopefully that will happen soon. I like my dark hair and dark hair seems to be quite the fashion these days anyway. Not that you even really care about my hair haha.
My hubby is waiting to talk to me so I'm gonna shut down this computer for the night. There again, I'm so blessed to have the best hubby in the world and family in the world. Oh, and today I got a beautiful message from my Mom. It made me cry because it was so special. My Mom helped me through all of my rough times after I had kids and getting through school. I thanked her for that and she called me to thank me for thanking her. I'm just shaking my head because I can't believe how blessed I am in all ways. I hope you have a good night. Enjoy yourself and your loved ones today. Felissa
