Thanksgiving in Albuquerque

I'm not much of a cook.  I don't clean my home and have someone else do it.  I wouldn't call myself much of a homemaker.  If I had to stay home as a housewife, I would go stir crazy (CRAZY) within a matter of one week.  But this year I made a really cool decision to have Thanksgiving at my home with my Husband, Ronnie's, family and with my own children.  Unfortunately, Zoya, who is my 19 year old attending Stanford University in California, won't be here with us this year.  She's going with some friends from college to their family's home.  When I announced my decision to my handsome hubby, he basically said, "ok, so basically I'm gonna be cooking for Thanksgiving".  BINGO!  He got that right!  But at least I'm helping with the shopping and planning.

My 13 year old daughter, Katherine, is really excited about having Thanksgiving at our house this year.  Usually we go to my mom's, or Ronnie's moms, or to the home of my favorite nephew in the whole world.  But not this year!  I'm really excited and nervous because it has been a while since I've hosted anything at my house.

Well, most of all, I hope you, our readers, have a great, fulfilling Thanksgiving.  I hope that your season is filled with the love of your family and with the love of our most precious Lord, Jesus Christ.  It is through him and in him that I have found my most perfect happiness and balance in my life.  My wish is that you will do the same.
