Topic: My Daily Personal Life, by Felissa M. Garcia

Not much happening today as far as Court went but I had a busy day getting all of my paperwork done.  Pretty boring stuff.

This morning I got up at 5 a.m again, yay!!!!  I'm still really excited about that.  I got on the treadclimber and watched Judge Judy.  I love Judge Judy.  She's so mean though, sometimes, and I can't believe some of the things she says to these people on T.V.  I came downstairs and did my little 10 pound dumbell routine and did 10, yes indeed, 10 sissy pushups.  Better than zero, right?

So today I'm going to cover a few more people on our Staff at The Family Law Firm.  At the very back and corner of the office, yup, it's the corner office with all the windows and the magnificent view, is my office.  I love my office.  Then next to mine is Oscar Calvillo's office.  His is the next nicest office in our space.  Oscar is The Family Law Firm's Administrator, that means that next to me, he is the next in line for just about everything.  Poor Oscar.  I'm the hardest on him because he and Jacob are my next in line, right hand men and I expect them to be the best.  Oscar has been with the Firm the longest of any other Staff member other than myself.  He started at the front desk answering phones.  I always tell people who work at the Firm that they can decide how high they will climb on the ladder.  Oscar did just that.  And with some good, old fashioned, common sense.  He has always been loyal to me, honest, hard working and sincere.  What more can you ask of someone?  He has never taken his job for granted and I hope he always stays with me at the Firm.  He is also an expert paralegal although I don't use him as a paralegal anymore.  He is the guy to talk to for just about everything.  Last year, Oscar started his own business, a car shop and I am so proud of him.  He and Jacob are like my own sons, the sons I never had.  I know Oscar is going to be very very successful in his car business and in whatever else he wants to do.  He has a heart of gold, and the soul of a warrior.  He has to be a warrior to work so closely with me!!  Haha I know I can be difficult....very difficult.  Yes, I'm hearing some of you lawyers out there agreeing with me on that one!

You know, I'm a little tired today and my grandson is here with me and he's running around trying to get my attention.  Would you mind if I signed off early to spend some time with him?  I miss him since he moved out of my house a few months ago.  It broke my heart when my daughter got married and moved out with my grandson.  I'm happy she's married, don't get me wrong, I'm just sad that my precious grandson is not living with me anymore.  He's going to be 4 in May.  I love him to pieces.  He and I are sharing watermelon bubblegum.  It's really good and when the flavor is all gone we are throwing it in the trash and we keep getting more and more gum!  Don't tell him mom, though!  You know, my kids and granson have taught me the value of love.  I have never really been a very affectionate person physically and my grandson brings all that good stuff out in me, the happy and good things that have always been there, but just never materialized on the outside.  I love hugging him.  You should see him.  He is the most gorgeous little boy I've ever seen!

So it's off for me now.  I have a Court of Appeals mediation tomorrow in a very interesting case.  Tomorrow I'll have good stuff for you on both the legal and personal front.  Have a good evening and please join me again tomorrow.  Felissa
