Frustrated with My Attorney - Help!

Subject: Response to your 5/21 blog
Felissa,
You commented in one of your blogs about Lawyers who have become lazy
in the workplace and I completely agree with you. It is a privledge to
be in a position as that of a lawyer. At least I believe so. As a
Criminology graduate myself I have always aspired to step into the law
field. Especially after what I have most recently experienced.
My husband (& I) have hired an attorney to deal with his many
custodial rights & harrasment issues. However our lawyer lacks the
common courtesy to keep us abreast of the situation(s) at hand. As
someone who works with general public I know there are lines that can
be crossed as far as being too "nosey" or "needy", but this is not one
of those cases. Our lawyer REFUSES to return phone calls or emails
from my husband. As this is an issue between my husband and his ex-
wife I am trying to stay as far behind the scenes as possible.
However, My husband is beyond frustrated and I am tired of the
insulting emails from his ex wife trying to extort money from my
husband before she "allows" him to see his children. I am in a
desperate situation and need help. Any advice or direction would be
greatly appreciated!
