Arbitration Not Completed

I thought for sure the Arbitration in that Horrible Case I was telling you about would end, but lo and behold, we did not finish. We barely got through one witness and then very short testimony from another witness. I'm amazed though, at how personally this opposing attorney is taking this case. He seems to be a really good lawyer. I've never had a case against him. His name is John F. Moon Samore. He apparently practices a great deal in NM Federal Court and seems to know the rules inside and out. Which is a very good thing. I really do admire him for that and I think he's a very good attorney. But maybe he just hates my client or something which is why he's letting out his frustration in this Arbitration. I was really disappointed at the beginning because the Arbitrator offered to try to settle the case before starting with the arbitration but Mr. Samore and his client said no. I was surprised because after thousands of divorce cases that I've completed, I realize how important it is to help people try to settle their cases rather than go to trial, which is essentially what an arbitration is. I think the ex just wants to go for blood which is contrary to how she acts. She was being so fake friendly that it was sickening. If she really wanted to be kind or nice, she would show it in her actions, not in her fake "hello's" or "I love your eyes" BS. I have no respect for fake people like her and I wish she just wouldn't talk to me, which is what I asked her to do - not to talk to me!
I took our Paralegal Barbara Bond with me to the arbitration. I don't know what else to say about Barbara other than she is one of the best paralegals in the world. She has her stuff together and she is smarter than I can even tell you. The arbitration went as well as it could and we reconvene in August to finish. I suppose I'll tell you the outcome once we get the results from the Arbitrator.
Then starting today, we started up on another really big case that goes to settlement facilitation on Thursday with a guy named Richard Wexler. He's very smart and I hope that he can settle this case for us. If not, I'll be getting ready for yet another trial. I'm pretty tired already and it's only June. I honestly don't know how this year has gone as quickly as it has. I'm amazed at how fast this year is going. Before you know it, Halloween will be here, then Christmas and on to another year. Does life go faster as you get older? It sure seems that way.
I'm going to get to sleep because I have to be at work tomorrow at 7 a.m. Thanks for stopping by and listening. It's always great talking to you. Felissa M. Garcia
